Randoms in New York

October 12th, 2009

I’m going to try to take more of these and post them. I see so much that intrigues me in New York. These are a couple that I’ve had for a while.

Woman in subway.

I swear to you some of these street (subway, in this case) performers take Quaaludes and then launch into their performance. This woman slowly moved through a series of slight, flowing poses. It was quite interesting until I realized it takes no real talent to do that. Perhaps I should try it and know for sure…

Woman in subway.

It was African American Pride Day in Harlem a few Sundays ago. They had a parade down Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. It was nice, mostly. The cheerleaders, some of them, looked as though someone promised them cookies and reneged on the deal. And then told them to swing pom-poms for several blocks in the sun. In other words, they did not look happy.

Very amusing. This post made me smile.
I sure you were glad to be out of the path of those non-cheerful cheerleaders.
